All About Splash
What a doll!
This affectionate and friendly girl is sweet as can be, absolutely LOVES hugs and belly rubs, and hanging out with people.  She is well mannered and quiet in the house,  knows basic commands and is a total love bug. Such a good girl.  She will make a great companion for someone searching for a mellow, easy going pal.

Splash has known much love in her life, and came to us when he owner's life circumstances changed and they were not able to meet her needs. They made the heartbreaking decision to turn her over to us to find her a wonderful, loving family for her golden years.
She has spent time with people of all ages and would be fine joining a family where children would be part of her life.  Gentle and friendly, she loves to soak up all the attention she can get!

Splash is a silly, spirited, confident girl who loves to have fun.  She can be a little pushy for attention and bops people on the butt with her toys to get them to play!  What a character!!!

This sweet gal is appropriate around cats so could easily join a home with a feline companion.  She is sharing her foster home with 2 well mannered dogs and is very happy to hang out and enjoy their company.  She could join a home with another well socialized, mellow dog.

Splash is not interested in spending time with dogs who bark, who may growl at her, or who are hooligans and running around trying to get her to play.  She likes to keep things mellow!

Health-wise, Splash is in decent shape.  She could drop a couple pounds but otherwise has nice body condition.

Her bloodwork shows that she tests positive for lyme disease, but the levels are low indicating an old infection.  She has no symptoms and the vet does not feel that she needs treatment.  The rest of her bloodwork is good.

She has a few lumps and bumps which we have checked out and all is well.

Typical of older female newfs, she will need some assistance keeping her girl parts nice and clean, with the hair trimmed up and tidy.

Mobility wise she gets around well.  She can go up and down stairs, although is a little hesitant going down a lot of stairs at once.  She enjoys going for walks and is happy to go out for an hour mosey around the neighbourhood.

Splash is located in Waterdown, ON.  Her approved adopters will need to pick her up in person.
A securely fenced yard is required.
Because Splash is a senior, we are waiving our usual adoption donation, and ask instead for a donation of her adopter's choice.
