May 10: Daphne was adopted!

Say hello to Daphne. a beautiful Landseer who is looking for a loving home.  She is sweet, gentle and friendly and will make a wonderful companion for one lucky family!

Daphne on intake day -- once she is groomed out she is going to be a pretty gal!
This lovely girl arrived in our care on May 3rd.  She had been living with her family since she was a pup but they felt that they were not meeting her needs so they made the decision to turn her over to Newf Friends.

For the last several years Daphne has spent long days living outside or locked in a room in the basement.  Those days are over now and she is searching for a family where she will be included in all aspects of family life and get lots of love, attention and belly rubs.  Daphne's ideal family will be one where someone is home most of the time and where she will be  part of everything that goes on with the family.   She deserves lots of love!

Daphne is a true gentle giant and could join a family with children.  She also has wonderful manners around other dogs and would be happy to join a family where she had another 4 footed playmate to romp around the yard with.

Daphne loooooooves to play in water whether it's a pool, puddle, stream or bucket! Don't say we didn't warn ya.......she likes to get dirty!

Daphne is 7 years young, has been spayed and her vaccines have been updated.  She is in need of losing 20-25 lbs.  Now that she is on a healthy grain-free diet of Acana Pacifica and getting lots of exercise we expect that the weight will drop off.  She has some mild arthritis in her knee, so it is of even greater importance that she drop her excess weight.  Her mobility is good, but a home with only minimal stairs will be best.

May 10.......Daphne is all groomed out and looking beautiful!

Hey, someone flip this pool over and fill it for me!

Daphne is being fostered in the Pickering area.  Her adopters will be required to pick her up in person.

To be considered for adopting Daphne please complete our adoption application found in the Forms section of this site and return it to us by email.   An adoption donation of $500 applies.
